Air Canada raises fares

Air Canada is set to raise domestic fares to cover fuel costs.
The Canadian airline has said that it will apply the increase to all fare types, including published, Internet and other special fares. The increase covers Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz services, The Winnipeg Sun reported.
According to Air Canada, the base fares for domestic flights will increase each way by CAD8 on short-haul flights, CAD10 for medium-haul, and CAD15 on long-haul flights.
The higher fares will step into force on tickets issued from 23 June.
