Aloha Airlines is cutting its Reno-San Diego flight, the airline announced on Friday (24 June).

The service is to cease after 5 July and ticketed passengers after that date will be transferred to Southwest Airlines for the route, the company announced.

The company is returning three aircraft that it has been leasing and it has to balance its routes, said the carrier's spokesperson. The carrier also said it will retain a Reno-Orange County flight that continues to Hawaii, but will change the final destination from Honolulu to Maui beginning on 22 August.
