United Airlines hopes to amend financing agreement

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

UAL Corp, the parent company of United Airlines, is seeking to increase its debtor-in-possession financing by an extra USD310m to USD1.3bn and extend the maturity date for the lending package to 30 December 2005.

The airline also hopes for an option to extend the loan repayment deadline to 31 March 2006.

The boost in financing and the extension are subject to bankruptcy court approval.
