Frontier reports preliminary figures for May

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has reported its preliminary traffic results for May 2005.

According to the airline, revenue passenger miles increased by 26.3% to 614,941,000 year-on-year while the available seat miles increased by 8.3% to 804,163,000 year-on-year. The resulting load factor for May 2005 was 76.5%, an increase of 10.9 percentage points from May 2004 when the load factor was 65.6%.

Frontier also said that the airline carried 629,113 passengers in May 2005, which was a 27.1%increase year-on-year.

The airline reported passenger yield of USD0.1001 for the month of May 2005. This was reportedly a decrease of 1.4% compared to the same period in 2004. The preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) was USD0.0765.
