FLYi reports Independence Air May figures

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
FLYi Inc (Nasdaq: FLYI) has reported preliminary May 2005 passenger traffic results for the budget airline Independence Air.
According to the company, the airline generated 311.7m revenue passenger miles (RPMs), while available seat miles (ASMs) were 427.5m. Independence Air reportedly had a load factor of 72.9% for May and carried 535,262 passengers during the month.
FLYi also reported that for the five months that ended 31 May RPMs were at 1.1bn while ASMs were 1.8bn and the airline carried 2,319,710 passengers during the first five months of 2005.
