World War II bomb found at Budapest airport

While building a parking lot at Ferihegy airport in Budapest, Hungary, a construction crew found a World War II bomb at the site on Monday (6 June), security officials said.

Explosives experts safely removed the detonator of the 50kg (110lb) German bomb, which was later detonated in a safe place. The flight safety and movement of passengers at the airport were not affected by the incident, said the airport security.
