GE aircraft engine sale to Emirates assisted by US Eximbank

The US Export-Import Bank is to provide a loan guarantee to assist in the sale of seven General Electric aircraft engines to Dubai-based carrier Emirates.
The loan guarantee, worth approximately USD130m, is the US Eximbank's first transaction with the airline.
The carrier is buying the GE 90-115B engines for Boeing 777 aircraft. The first of the engines was delivered in December 2004 and the rest are scheduled for delivery in six-month intervals, the bank said.
