Investigators in Canada have reportedly identified shortcomings in the operating methods of Canadian discount airline Jetsgo.

The problems were discovered during an investigation into a forced landing of a Jetsgo aircraft in January and they were related to the carrier's organizational structures and deficiencies in the manuals, said a spokesperson for Transport Canada.

Investigators are also looking into two engine problems suffered by Jetsgo aircraft last week. On Friday (4 March) an engine failed as a Jetsgo flight was taking off from Toronto on a flight to Vancouver and on Saturday (5 March) an aircraft was forced to land in South Carolina after an oil leak in an engine.

Because of the January incident, in February Transport Canada banned the airline from flying above 29,000ft.
