Lufthansa expected to present Swiss deal by next Wednesday

German carrier Deutsche Lufthansa is expected to announce its planned takeover of Swiss International Air Lines by next Wednesday (23 March), sources close to the talks told Reuters on Wednesday (16 March).
Large shareholders of the Swiss carrier had reportedly agreed to a takeover by Lufthansa, and an announcement was due either late on Tuesday 22 March or before the market opens on Wednesday 23 March, said the source.
Swiss and Lufthansa declined to comment on the information.
