Strikes may affect travel in Greece

Visitors to Greece face possible delays on Thursday (17 March) due to a nationwide strike by labour unions.
The strike may affect transportation to Athens International Airport. Flights operated by national carrier Olympic Airlines could be affected between 1200 and 1600 local time. However, a court order on Wednesday (16 March) ruled that a 24-hour strike at Olympic Airlines was illegal.
According to the unions the strikes are to protest over unemployment, the cost of living and low wage increases.
