Scandinavian airline SAS Group said on Friday (18 March) that the Norwegian Court of Appeal had confirmed the ruling by a District Court, exonerating SAS.
The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions and the Norwegian Confederation of Vocational Unions had brought a lawsuit against SAS/SAS Ground Services (SGS) on behalf of former Braathens employees.
The Court of Appeal found that there were no unfair redundancies and that the takeover is not to be deemed a transfer of ownership of a business.
SAS said that it was pleased that the legal and business assessments made now have court backing.
