Authorities in Russia are still investigating what caused a Regional Airlines An-24 aircraft to crash on Wednesday (16 March).
The crash killed 28 of the 52 people on board.
The aircraft banked too sharply as it approached the airport near an oil port along the Russian Arctic coast, and witnesses reported seeing the tail section falling apart as the aircraft went down.
The deputy chief prosecutor in the Nenets region, Alexander Sablin, has said that the crash could have been caused by pilot error or a technical malfunction, reported The Associated Press.
