Air travel industry agrees to control pollution

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Air transport industry representatives agreed at a meeting on Friday (18 March) that they need to do more to reduce noise and pollution.
About 300 representatives of the industry, including airlines and manufacturers, agreed that they had to work together, but also needed cooperation from governments. Governments should work with airports and air navigation services to ensure environmentally responsible airport expansion and air-route efficiency, the industry leaders said.
