Tiger Airways to launch service to Indonesia

Singapore-based budget carrier Tiger Airways said on Monday (21 March) that it is planning to launch new services to Indonesia.

The carrier said it will begin flying to Padang, West Sumatra, from May 2005, and has applied for landing rights in Jakarta and Medan.

The service to Padang will be offered three times a week. Beginning Tuesday (22 March), the carrier is offering promotional fares starting at SGD4.98 one way.

No other details of the new service were disclosed.
