GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes (NYSE:GOL), a Brazilian budget airline, has said that since its realignment of air fares was announced on 7 March GOL has sold 170,000 more tickets than the average sales volume.

According to the airline, this is consistent with GOL's yield management policy, which aims to maintain high load factors. The company also said that the fare realignment supports the airline's low cost, low fare strategy. Minimum fares are only valid for tickets sold on the Internet and all fares are said to be in compliance with DAC (the Brazilian Civil Aviation Department).
