SAS cancels two flights from Sweden to US - report

Airline Industry Information, March 23, 2005

Scandinavian airline SAS Group has reportedly cancelled two fully-booked flights from Sweden to the US during the Easter season.

One flight was cancelled on Wednesday morning (23 March) from Stockholm to New York, while the other cancelled flight was scheduled to operate on Thursday morning (24 March) from Stockholm to Chicago.

The flights were reportedly cancelled because two aircraft were damaged on the airfield after a maintenance vehicle collided with them.

SAS would pay compensation to the passengers, but it was still unclear how much the cancellations would cost the company, reported the Swedish news agency Direkt.
