EVA Airways and Shanghai Airlines to form joint venture - report

Taiwanese airline EVA Airways Corp plans to form an air cargo joint venture company with Chinese carrier Shanghai Airlines Co Ltd, the United Daily News newspaper reported on Wednesday (23 March).
According to a spokesperson for Shanghai Airlines a deal may be under preparation, but there has not yet been any final agreement and it still requires approval by the civil aviation authority.
EVA Airways has always had a cooperative relationship with Shanghai Air, but is only in discussions regarding a joint venture and nothing has been finalised, said a spokesperson for EVA Airways.
