Air France is reportedly planning to replace part of its cargo fleet with Boeing's new 777 freighter.

French newspaper La Tribune reported that the carrier would place an order for seven of the 777 freighters, becoming Boeing's launch customer for the model. The 777 freighter is due to enter service in 2008.

The order would be worth about USD1.5bn, the newspaper said.
