Thai Airways launches new direct route between New York and Bangkok

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited has marked its 45th anniversary announcing a new direct route from New York's John F Kennedy Airport to Bangkok, Thailand.
The airline has said that the route will be operated with its new Airbus A340-500 for the 17-hour, over-the-pole flight. The service will reportedly be launched on 1 May, 2005.
Thai Airways has said that the airline currently operates three weekly flights from Bangkok to Los Angeles, USA.
