Police said on Tuesday (8 March) that passengers on aircraft descending into Berlin's Tegel airport observed a giant swastika measuring about 8 by 5 metres.

The banned Nazi symbol, scraped out of snow on a frozen lake, was visible from aircraft for most of Monday morning before water police erased it, reported Reuters.
