German airline Lufthansa said on Monday (9 May) that it had reached a deal with the union representing cabin crew.
The agreement covers about 14,000 flight attendants over a four-year period. It includes a pay freeze until 1 January 2007, a pledge for no layoffs through to the end of 2008, and it allows for more flexible working hours.
According to the Independent Flight Crew Organization (UFO) its members may be able to earn even more through yearly performance-based payments that could add up to as much as 4.25% of a worker's annual salary.
