Northwest stops serving free snacks

Northwest Airlines Corp has decided to stop serving free snacks on its domestic flights, the airline said on Friday (27 May).
Beginning 9 June only soda remains free for coach passengers, as Northwest stops serving free pretzels. A 3-ounce bag of trail mix is to cost USD1.
According to an airline spokesperson the move should save Northwest USD2m a year.
