Frontier Airlines announces fourth quarter loss

Frontier Airlines has announced its fourth quarter financial results.
Frontier said it lost USD3.7m, or USD0.10 a share, in the quarter ended 31 March, compared with a loss of USD5.8m, or USD0.16 a share, a year earlier. Revenue in the quarter increased to USD218.5m from USD172.1m in 2004.
Frontier's load factor for the fourth quarter rose to 73.6% from 70.1% a year earlier, and passenger revenue per available seat mile increased 4.8% to USD0.0846.
The loss for the fiscal year ended 31 March was USD23.4m, or USD0.66 a share, compared with a year-ago profit of USD12.6m, or USD0.36 per share. Revenue in the fiscal year rose to USD833.6m from USD634.7m.
