Britain and New Zealand agreed on Friday (27 May) to ease restrictions on the number of direct flights allowed between the two countries.

The current rules allow only seven direct flights per week from airlines on both sides and the new air services agreement will enable airlines to provide new services. However, restrictions on the number of passengers allowed to be carried by New Zealand airlines on routes between London and the United States will remain, reported Reuters.
