FLYi Inc, the parent company of Independence Air, has made an agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants-Communications Workers of America (AFA-CWA).

The company said that it has agreed with the union on changes in pay rates and work rules for Independence Air flight attendants, subject to membership ratification. The agreement has been designed to assist the company as part of its ongoing restructuring process by making certain modifications to the existing Flight Attendant Collective Bargaining Agreement. The ratification is expected to begin shortly.

The flight attendants are working with the management and other unions to facilitate the restructuring of the company, according to AFA-CWA Master Executive Council President Kenneth Kindred.
