The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) has reported that Official Aviation Guide (OAG) data shows that scheduled airline services to and from the Asia Pacific region have increased by 7% for October year-on-year.

OAG figures reportedly also show that intra-regional services rose by 8%, services to and from China were up 12%, and Chinese domestic services increased by 18%, according to CAPA. Low-cost carrier operations in the Asia Pacific region increased by 666% from a very small service base last year, while the more mature intra-regional low-cost carrier market increased by 31%.

CAPA is a Sydney, Australia-based aviation consultancy, and OAG is a privately-owned global content management company that operates an extensive airline schedules database.
