A malfunctioning radar system delayed flights into Boston's Logan airport for the second day yesterday (11 October).

Federal officials were reportedly working to repair the system that was showing false "targets" - radar blips that air traffic controllers knew were not aircraft. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Arlene Murray said that this uncommon problem can be caused by a flock of geese, but it seemed to be recurring.

On average flights were delayed over two hours, The Associated Press reported.
