Scandinavian airline SAS Group said on Tuesday (18 October) that it had made an agreement with Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) that allows the Galileo GDS (global distribution system) continued full access to SAS' content.

The agreement is a result of several months of negotiations and allows SAS to obtain lower distribution costs, the company said.

"Ensuring that distribution costs more closely reflect the changing competitive landscape is vital in the airline industry. The agreed scheme with Cendant TDS helps us reaching this goal while maintaining full distribution through the Galileo GDS," said Robin Kamark, senior vice president of Airline Commercial at SAS.
