Three arrested at Malaysian airport for alleged drug smuggling

Three people from Taiwan have reportedly been arrested at Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur International Airport for trying to smuggle the drug ketamine.
The two Taiwanese women and a Taiwanese man were detained on Friday (30 September) after airport security officials allegedly found 4.5kg of the illegal party drug strapped to their bodies. They were heading for Taiwan, the news agency Bernama reported on Tuesday (4 October).
Those convicted of drug smuggling in Malaysia face a mandatory death penalty.
