An educational certificate programme that focuses on airline distribution is the reason for a partnership between CASMA, the Computerised Airline Sales & Marketing Association, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
According to the partners, the programme will be introduced during CASMA's Annual Conference on 24-28 October in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The CASMA University is reportedly an exclusive course, developed by CASMA Educational Advisory Council and IATA, targeting individuals new to airline distribution as well as a refresher for those who need an update. The partners have said that the initial eight-hour course offered is "Airline Distribution - An Introduction and Overview", taught by John F O'Connell, Air Transport Department, Cranfield University, England.
CASMA University is planning additional courses for future meetings to continue the education of CASMA distribution professionals. The cost is free to CASMA attendees during the course of CASMA meetings.
