Poll shows 30% of all airline tickets are electronic tickets

An industry poll has shown that 30% of tickets issued by airlines are electronic.
According to a poll carried out by SITA, an airline industry technology company, and the Airline Business magazine, electronic tickets account for 30% of the tickets issued, compared to 19% in 2004. The poll, which included executives from 200 airlines, also showed that over 70% of the tickets are sold online.
As for Internet access and telephone usage, the results show that 44% of airlines are planning to offer some sort of in-flight connections by the end of 2007, Reuters reported.
