Expanded services to southern India are being planned by the Austrian Airlines Group.

The group reportedly wants to benefit from the increasing number of Indians travelling. At present Austrian Airlines operates a daily service from Vienna to New Delhi and it launched a service with five weekly departures to Bombay on 1 September. The airline may consider a third location, such as Madras, Bangalore or Hyderabad, chief commercial officer Josef Burger said.

The group includes Austrian Airlines, Austrian Arrows and Lauda Air, The Associated Press reported.
