Abu Dhabi to withdraw from Gulf Air

The emirate of Abu Dhabi is to withdraw from the carrier Gulf Air.

The emirate will pull out to focus on its own airline, Etihad. The remaining stakeholders of Gulf Air will be Bahrain and Oman, according to the Emirates News Agency.

The governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman have confirmed that the government of Abu Dhabi is to withdraw from Gulf Air.

Gulf Air also confirmed the move, without providing a timeline.
