Bharti Enterprises, an Indian mobile phone company, and Singapore's Changi Airport have withdrawn a joint bid for modernising the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India.

The two parties said that Changi was not confident that it would meet the conditions set out in the tender. According to Changi Airport Managers and Partners, it held differing views on how several issues, which came up during the bidding process, should be addressed.

According to The Associated Press, Changi proposed making a bid, based on a timeline and service quality standards thought to be achievable. Bharti and DLF Group, its partners, decided against the idea. The bid was reportedly due this week.
