Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) has said that it is keeping a close eye on the bankruptcy reorganisation of Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ: NWACQ).

The airline said that it may expand its services if the two airlines decide to reduce the services they offer. Southwest made a similar move when US Airways scaled back services at Pittsburgh, expanding its services at the airport, The Business Journal reported.
