Northwest CEO is willing to cut pay and compensation

Doug Steenland, the CEO of Northwest Airlines, has said that he is willing to take cuts in pay and other compensation if the company seeks those changes during the restructuring process.

Northwest Airlines has also said that the CEO is banned from leaving for another company for a year. In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Northwest said that the company thinks it critical to "maintain the continuity of its management team", Reuters reported.
