ATA Airlines has reached a tentative agreement with its pilots' union.
The airline said that it has reached a tentative deal for wage, benefit and work rule concessions with the union. In exchange for the concessions, the pilots will reportedly be given stock options in the airline when it emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The exit from bankruptcy is expected to happen later this year or early in 2006, Reuters reported.
The agreement has been valued at USD84.5m in savings by the end of 2007, the Air Line Pilots Association said. The union members will vote on the agreement by 30 September.
