Hainan Airlines signs deal for eight Boeing aircraft

Hainan Airlines, a Chinese carrier, has signed a contract for purchasing eight Boeing 787s.
The airline is expected to receive the first of the aircraft before 2008, according to the Xinhua news service. The purchase can be added to the orders made by Air China, China Eastern, Shanghai Airlines and Xiamen Airlines in August. The four airlines signed contracts valued at USD5bn for 42 Boeing 787s.
