Continental Airlines to increase service to Oslo, Norway

Continental Airlines is to increase the number of departures from Oslo, Norway to New York's Newark airport, USA.

The airline currently operates three weekly services and will increase the frequency to four this winter. Continental also said that the demand on the route means that it will restart daily departures as early as 2 March. This year, the start of the summer schedule's daily departures was 30 May.

Tom Grundstad, Continental Airlines' manager for Norway, said that the airline is very pleased with the development of the route.

The direct service between Oslo and New York started in 2004 and the airline is currently the only one to offer direct flights between Norway and the US, boarding.no reported.
