America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) and US Airways (OTC Bulletin Board: UAIRQ) have revealed some of the details of immediate changes to their joint frequent flyer programmes, FlightFund and Dividend Miles, resulting from the merger between the two carriers.

The new programme will be launched in the spring of 2006 and it will retain the name Dividend Miles. Members of FlightFund and Dividend Miles can redeem and earn miles on flights operated by either airline from 5 October.

The outstanding mileage balance will be automatically combined and integrated into the new Dividend Miles programme in 2006.
