US-based Frontier Airlines Inc has said that it may be looking for a new destination in Louisiana.

Jeff Potter, the airline's CEO, said the airport in New Orleans will be closed indefinitely and the carrier could instead fly to Baton Rouge or a city in another state while waiting to get a better picture of the future of New Orleans, The Associated Press reported.

The CEO told shareholders that the airline was looking at some other way to use the aircraft previously used for New Orleans service. Frontier will have to take a wait-and-see attitude, according to Potter.
