ATA Airlines scheduled to emerge from bankruptcy

Indianapolis-based ATA Airlines is set to emerge from bankruptcy on Tuesday (28 February).
According to The Associated Press, the airline and its parent company ATA Holdings Corp have scaled back their fleet of aircraft, reduced their destinations and cut their work force by half since filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October 2004.
The airline's bankruptcy emergence plan was reportedly approved by a federal bankruptcy judge on 30 January and focuses on destinations including Cancun, Los Angeles and Las Vegas as well as an increase in military charter business.
