Patrick LaMoria, vice president of sales for Aviation Partners Boeing, has said that the company expects to deliver 1,500 Blended Winglet Systems over the next two years.

Five years after the first Blended Winglet System was delivered, the 1,000th one was installed on an American Airlines Boeing 757-200 in May this year. There are currently 1,150 Blended Winglet equipped aircraft in operation.

Aviation Partners Boeing has said that it is also working with a prospective launch customer for a 767-300ER Blended Winglet programme and is continuing with product development for the 777-200ER.

Aviation Partners Boeing is a joint venture between Aviation Partners Inc of Seattle and The Boeing Company.
