Delta Air Lines intends to produce restructuring plan to counter takeover bid

Ed Bastian, the chief financial officer of Delta Air Lines (Other OTC: DALRQ.PK), has said that the airline plans to draw up a restructuring plan to counter a takeover bid from US Airways.
Bastian said that the airline has no plans to seek a 'white knight' and intends to put forward a strong restructuring plan in mid-December.
The chief financial officer declined to comment on the details in an interview with the Financial Times.
