March operating data reported by Brazil's TAM S.A

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Brazilian airline TAM S.A. (BOVESPA: TAMM4) (NYSE: TAM) has announced its operating statistics for March 2007, as published by the country's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

During the month TAM recorded a growth of 26.5% in domestic RPK (demand) compared to March 2006, while domestic ASK (supply) grew 26.3%. TAM's domestic load factor was 69.0%, up very slightly from 68.9% in March last year and 5.0 percentage points higher than the market average of 64.0%.

Market demand in March increased by 8.9% and market supply increased by 13.2%. TAM's domestic market share (RPK) for March was 51.7%, showing an increase of 7.2 percentage points compared to the same month in 2006.

Meanwhile in the international market TAM registered a year-on-year growth of 68.7% in RPK and 85.9% in ASK. The airline's load factor on international routes was 70.5%, down from 77.7% a year ago but 4.9 percentage points higher than the market average of 65.6%.

TAM's market share in the international market reached 62.9%, an increase of 39.8 percentage points compared to March 2006.
