GE Money, the global consumer lending unit of General Electric company (NYSE:GE), announced on Thursday (2 August) that the company has signed a deal with Ryanair, a low fare airline based in Europe, under which GE Money will provide co-branded credit cards for Ryanair across a number of European Markets.

The new Ryanair credit card has been launched in the UK and is expected to be introduced later in the year in Poland and Sweden. The agreement also provides for the roll out of the co-branded credit card across other markets where Ryanair and GE Money operate.

The card will be issued in association with MasterCard in the UK and will be available through http://www.Ryanair.com and at selected airports, GE said.

According to GE, cardholders will benefit from a rewards programme, based on their usage and spend, which will enable them to redeem free flights across Ryanair's network of more than 500 routes. Consumers can also transfer from an existing credit card provider to the Ryanair MasterCard with a 0% offer for 6 months on all balance transfers.
