Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) has unveiled new uniform designs for its flight attendants and airport customer service employees.

The new designs were revealed during a runway fashion show at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The new uniforms are the result of the first redesign in nearly 17 years and were developed over a two-year period by Northwest employees and designer Miranda Moss to ensure ideal form, fit and functionality. The new uniform designs include components that can be mixed and matched to create several ensembles while at the same time maintaining a consistent NWA look.

Flight attendants and airport customer service employees will begin wearing the new uniforms in autumn 2008.
