JetBlue reports 10.0% operating margin for second quarter

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
JetBlue Airways Corporation (NasdaqGS: JBLU) has reported its results for the second quarter of 2007.
The carrier said that its operating revenues for the quarter totalled USD730m, an increase of 19.4% compared to the second quarter of 2006. The operating income for the quarter was USD73m, resulting in a 10.0% operating margin. For the same period in 2006 operating income was USD47m, with a 7.7% operating margin.
The pre-tax income for the quarter was USD43m, giving a 5.9% pre-tax margin. The net income for the quarter was USD21m.
