India's Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel yesterday (21 June) discussed investment in India's air transportation and aviation infrastructure at a luncheon with the United States-India Business Council (USIBC).
Patel said India needs to create its own hubs, including a cargo hub in Nagpur, in order to support India's growing logistics and shipping sectors.
The US-India Business Council consists of 250 of the largest US companies investing in India, as well as two dozen global Indian companies, whose common aim is to strengthen commercial relations and deepen two-way trade.
