ATA welcomes open skies agreement

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
The Air Transport Association (ATA), a trade association for United States airlines, has welcomed the decision on an 'open skies' agreement between the US and the European Union.
According to ATA the open skies agreement "paves the way for much-desired increased service between the United States and Europe". ATA also sees the agreement as having the potential to provide benefits to customers and the economies of the US and EU.
